El Salvador La Concordia

Medium Roast

cocoa cherry sweet biscuit

This bourbon coffee is grown under shade in the rich volcanic soil of the mountains of El Salvador.  La Concordia farm is run by Eduardo Borja and his family, who are very experienced coffee growers.  The coffee is balanced and sweet with a gentle acidity and honey like sweetness.  It has a silky mouthfeel and a clean flavour.

Bourbon coffee plants physically have large fruit and seed, a  high yield, normal size leaves, less dense than Pacamara. It produces coffee with excellent body, aroma and acidity and balanced attributes.

In the past El Salvador’s ability to consistently produce quality coffee was affected by political instability. However, in recent years El Salvador has been gaining a reputation for being able to produce some of the best gourmet single-origin arabica coffees.
